작년 4월경에 투숙을했고 수영장과 스파 조식뷔페호텔컨디션이 좋아서 다시 예약할려고 하니 국내대행사이트에 문의해보니 호텔 리노베이션이라고 하고 메이져급 대행사 트립닷컴, 호텔스닷컴, 아고다등에서 조차 예약이 불가능하네요 어코드계열이라 튼실한체인인데 왜 마닐라만 예약이 안되는것일까요? 소피텔마닐라에 무슨이슈라도있는걸까요? 현지 교민분이나 여행사 관련 업체의 답변을 기다립니다

갑자기 하긴 했는데 폐업은 맞습니다.

The closure of Sofitel Philippine Plaza Manila on 1 July 2024 has raised questions about the future of this landmark hotel. 폐업의 이유로는 오래된 구조물 + 안전 우려 + 레노베이션의 필요성이 너무 커짐(비용증가) 이렇게 뽑고 있네요. 레노베이션 한다고 시작했다가 규모가 너무 커지니까 폐업했을 수도 있겠습니다.

Aging infrastructure: The property, nearing half a century old and built on reclaimed land, has faced ongoing maintenance challenges. A former Westin executive noted that past renovations may not have addressed long-term structural issues.
