I was installing Ubuntu Desktop 26.04 onto my drive when an error came up saying something went wrong but it didn't know what. The logs showed errors like grub-install: warning: efivarfs_set_variable: writing to fd 9 failed: Cannot allocate memory.
My laptop is an Asus x1404za with 8GB of RAM, 128 GB of storage, and a 12th gen Intel Core i3. I've added an ax210 to it for my previous Linux installation.
I believe I have done everything right, although I am new to Linux.
