I'm running a Dell Optiplex with integrated intel video card. I recently upgraded from a live USB, wiping the root directory, but kept my home directory in place.
Since upgrading to 26.04, I can hear my fan rev up any time my browser tries to load a page with a lot of images. Like Amazon or Ebay, where there's an array of images on a page. I don't know if it's this or the Javascript, but it takes a long time to load and I can hear the fan always revving up.
Mouse performance becomes choppy over time. I'm running dual monitors, the first with Displayport and second with HDMI and when I move the cursor from the first to the second, I can see it stutter.
In general, I'm just getting laggy performance and it feels like a video card-related issue. Has anyone been having these problems, and how do you fix them?
I'm upgrading from the last LTS release (24.04). Prior kernel was 6.17 and the new one is 7.0.0. Graphics specs are below:
