Should I bring Speedos or Swimming Shorts to Egypt?

I'm planning a trip to the East Coast of Egypt, around Hurghada or Marsa Alam. Probably traveling with a budget airline with little luggage allowance.
I plan to spend plenty of time in the water snorkeling and maybe also some time chilling around the swimming pool of the resort.
Are both speedos and swimming shorts common in Egypt or is one largely more common than another? For this matter is it a big difference between the Southern East Coast and the Sinai Peninsula?
